About Be The Match’s support of the SIERRA clinical trial:

The National Marrow Donor Program® (NMDP)/Be The Match®, the nonprofit organization that operates the national Be The Match Registry® of potential volunteer blood stem cell donors, will provide support for acute myeloid leukemia (AML) patients who are candidates for the SIERRA clinical trial through expanded search of unrelated bone marrow and peripheral blood stem cell (PBSC) donors.

The NMDP/Be The Match’s assistance will include screening donors for their interest and availability and provide customized human leukocyte antigen (HLA) typing to determine HLA match grade.
